Technology both affirmed and altered periodic tables in World War Two, when the atom joined the US war effort to end the conflict with the Japanese government. As in all wars, giant leaps in the technology of destruction had the side effect of great advancement in science and public welfare.

This last of the series is about American efforts to add powerful elements to the periodic table, and the application of logic to the presentation - 'Thinking Outside the Box'.

One of the two presentation choices below is a .pdf of the series of slides that make up the PowerPoint, useful for quick appraisal. The other is the PowerPoint itself, which should download to your computer, and you can save and use it from there - which will be including the growing amount of helpful notes.

You may manipulate the PowerPoint file in any way for your own classroom use, but not post or otherwise distribute it following changing.
